Sunset Cruise

There’s nothing more iconic than sailing off the coast of Waikiki while sipping on a cool beverage and watching the setting sun light up Diamond Head.

Sailing at sunset on Pau Hana

End your day with a sensational sunset sail. Grab a beverage of your own or one of our signature, local cocktails and settle in as we hoist the sails and head out toward Diamond Head.  Our Captain and crew will take care of you while also scanning the horizon for wildlife. If you are looking for adventure, we will go blasting through the ocean waves off Diamond Head. There is still time to anchor off Waikiki and go for a swim and snorkel and play on the magic carpet. If you are looking for a more relaxed experience, we will just fly the head sail and have a mellow cruise in the protected water off Waikiki.

As you enjoy the sunset, our crew will set up a beautiful spread made from locally sourced ingredients and made by your own private chef. You’re sure to build lasting memories with this intimate evening tour as the sun sets and the city lights start to twinkle. Relax to the gentle sway of the boat as the sun goes down and we head back into the harbor.

The sunset sail works best if you schedule departure at least an hour before sunset. In the Wintertime, the sun goes down as early as 5:30pm and we often finish the sail in watching the light fade from the sky and the lights of the city spark to life. In the Summer, the sun will stay up above Mt Ka’ala until 7:30pm and twilight will linger as late as 8pm.

We provide a Kama’aina discount.

Here’s our recommended list of things to bring when on your Oahu sunset cruise:

  • Snacks and beverages ( we’ll have a cooler full of ice and filtered water )

  • Light jacket ( it gets cold when the sun goes down )

  • Towels ( if you want to go swimming )

  • Sunscreen ( depending on how early your trip is before sunset )

  • Phone or camera ( to get those sweet sunset pics )

Turtles and dolphins are most often found earlier in the day, but during the Winter we love turning our sunset cruise into a whale watch if any of our Humpback friends decide to stop by.
