About our catamaran
Pau Hana means done working in Hawaiian. A time to relax and chill and have a beverage. It’s Pau Hana time! Our beautiful vessel is a 41 Ft Catana Performance Sailing Catamaran. Pau Hana arrived in Honolulu, HI on Jan 1, 2021 from Raiatea, French Polynesia captained by Jason Rose along with 2 crew for the 15 day passage. Owners Jason and Mariah had dreamed of running a charter business in Honolulu for several years as they searched for their new catamaran. They made the perfect team with Jason’s experience as a boat captain with over 100,000 open ocean miles, years of cruising in the South Pacific and captaining a multitude of Waikiki sailing catamarans and Mariah a successful sales and marketing executive with a side hustle as a chef. In 2020, they found a 2009 41ft Catana Catamaran and knew it was the right boat. It’s a fast cruising catamaran with slim, lightweight asymmetrical hulls. Dagger boards enhance efficiency and a high bridge deck clearance avoids wave slapping. The boat is equipped with twin Volvo engines. Its well designed cushioned and sun-protected cockpit with large table and plentiful seating with luxury updated cushions is perfect for groups up to 12 people. The wide transoms with swim ladder off the stern make getting in and out of the water a breeze. Since bringing Pau Hana back to Hawaii cosmetic upgrades include updating the bathroom and adding a freshwater electric flush toilet and completely renovating the galley.
