There is something special that happens when you step into a tail and monofin and splash into the water. It’s so much FUN! Swimming in the ocean in a place as remote as Hawaii donning a mermaid tail is an exciting way to explore under the sea. We can work with you to create the perfect mermaid and merman adventure as a part of your private charter.

What to expect?

We will need to know how many people in your party are interested in a mermaid/merman adventure and the age and size so we can be sure to have a tail for everyone. We have 3 tail sizes: 50-90lbs, 90-150lbs and 150-220lbs.

Anyone under the age of 12 will be required to wear a lifejacket at all times onboard and in the water - coastguard regulation.

We will have an educational safety briefing specific for mermaiding before getting into the water. We will talk about putting on the tail and monofin and how to get back out of the tail and monofin when you are ready to come back onto the boat. The swim mat will be rolled out so you can hold onto the mat or to the swim ladder as you get comfortable with wearing a tail and fin. Once you are adjusted to your new mermaid self, a guide with be in the water with you and can take photos and videos with a GoPro. Although this is not a professional photoshoot, digital photos and videos are included with your trip. Your guide will give you suggestions on how to swim and look like a mermaid on camera. For safety reasons, we will only be able to have 2 mermaids or mermen in the water at a time. This also makes it easier on the camera operator to ensure you will have the perfect photo and video for socials.

If you are looking for a professional underwater photoshoot, let us know and we can recommend and coordinate a photographer for your mermaid experience.

For those who are not as comfortable in the water, you can still have a mermaid experience on the boat or laying on the magic carpet off the back of the boat. Wearing a mermaid tale and posing for pictures with iconic Diamond Head in the background looks fabulous above the sea too.

Create the ultimate mermaid experience and add food and beverage to your trip. We offer a chef made curated menu with snackable items that are perfect for your private cruise. Our scratch made menu items highlight fresh and local ingredients. The local fish is sourced from the market the day of your trip and the cured meats are Hawaii grown and made on O’ahu. You are supporting many local farmers and producers when you select items from the menu. We use REAL plates, glasses and silverware to minimize waste and plastic items blowing into the ocean. Your tastebuds and sea critters will thank you.

  • Swimsuits

  • Sunscreen

  • Phone or camera with a telephoto lens

Schools of fish, turtles, dolphins, octopuses, manta ray and monk seals are some of the wildlife we will be on the search for.
